Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Row-by-Row and Key-Based comparison?

Row-by-row compares rows by their line index. Key-based matches rows with the same unique identifier (like user ID) regardless of whether rows were rearranged or sorted differently.

Does the parser support commas inside quotes and multiline fields?

Yes. The parser adheres strictly to RFC 4180 rules, correctly supporting commas inside quotes, escaped double quotes (" "), and embedded line breaks.

What happens if duplicate keys exist in a CSV?

The tool proactively detects and warns you about duplicate keys in either CSV rather than silently ignoring them.

Are my CSV files uploaded to any server?

No. All CSV parsing and comparison happens completely on your device in local browser memory.
